This is not at all what I had planned for tonight, but I got distracted by this little bird I found in Marissa’s room.
When I was little I was the star of a Polish Airlines commercial. April fools! No, actually I’m not kidding. My babysitter was from Poland and her boyfriend was a producer there. He was working on this commercial and needed a little girl to hold a bird and let it fly away into the sky out an open window. I didn’t have to say anything, all I had to do was hold this little bird and bring it to the window. Then I had to put it back in its cage, go back to the window and act like I’d let it free.
During this video of me freeing the bird, a voice spoke these words in polish:
“Reaching your dreams isn’t always easy. Sometimes it takes a pair of wings to feel welcome in the sky.”
I have no idea how I remember that. I haven’t seen the video in at least 10 years. I have a pretty bad memory, but I remember some very random things.
i think i’ve mentioned this before but it is necessary that i see a copy of this commercial. NECESSARY.
haha, I’ll have to dig it up. It’s floating around my house sommmeewhere .. on vhs.
Is that a paper towel pattern ? coool
it is! I shot this with a white paper towel as the background and added the sky from an old photograph I had. I liked the pattern of the paper towel, so I left the sky as transparent..
